‘What people would want to wear?’ is a question that never has an obvious answer. Every year is dramatic when it comes to fashion. From the trend-fit world of traditional Palazzos to sunglasses at weddings, nothing was stagnant in the year 2019. With such dynamism, what should one expect out of the year 2020? For what I can see so far, it is going to be a bang-down bring-out of the older trends of the 90's and an innovative streak of judgmental wardrobe fits. Let’s have a look:

  1. Unique Design Prints for men
Graphic designs for men’s clothes have been limited for a very long time. Floral designs on shirts, a few enigmatic prints, and we are done! Although, a lot of innovation has been seen in the past two years, especially with Ranveer Singh’s wardrobe entry on the cameras.
So, what new do we have on the table?
A whole new collection of off-the-wall designs for men’s shirts, pants, everything!
If you have seen the latest music video by Hardy Sandhu or even Rox A and Nikk, you must know what I am talking about!

There is no more limitation. From bunnies to abstract prints, everything is classy. And the most important aspect: You have options in pants and jackets!
If you are open to new fashion trends, 2020 is going to be a blast for you ;)

2. Quirky Kurtas, Quirky Jackets, Quirky everything!
We now have a rich collection of t-shirts and shirts with weird design prints everywhere online, but what about other clothes? Well, 2020 is not going to leave that untouched. Recently, as I browsed through the catalog of Redesyn, I could see a range of Kurtas, leggings, jackets, etc for both men and women with all kinds of quirky yet appealing designs.

Some of my favorites in the collection:

It is not just limited to clothing, but all areas of fashion. Such designs in shoes and juttis are going to the next level. Etsy’s collection of shoes and boots might just make your day. You might also want to check out Reebok’s latest collection of designer shoes.

3. Waist pouches

Also known as Fanny packs, waist bags were back in fashion in around 2018 after the 1980s. Although, the purpose was fitness and convenience. A lot of new designs have been coming up this year. My personal favorite was what Avneet Kaur wore in one of her music videos:

Not a very comfortable colour to wear and carry, but it looks amazing. What I am looking forward to or am rather expecting is a streak of quirky designs being popular in these bags this year.

Also, we already have a huge variety of tote bags, backpacks, becoming popular at different stores like Chumbak, Miniso, and others. Let’s hope for a variant collection this year.

4. Colour transformation

Pop-culture fashion adds a whole new dimension of colours in fashion. Black, blue, brown, and the obvious shades of red and pink have been ruling the industry. Although, with psychedelic prints, pop culture design enrichment, sparks and quirks, has transformed the outlook towards colours. I see a lot of subtly going out and dare coming in. Let’s welcome it with warmth in the year 2020.

5. Glitter

Glitter is back! What is really cool about owning clothes or accessories with glitter is that you can take it out every now and then, it never completely goes out. 2020 is the year it is expected to rise in popularity. From shoes to dresses and purses, you can see bling everywhere. Keep an eye out for that. And don’t get rid of a dress that shines because you haven’t been able to wear it for a long time. Just wait and shine yourself in it

Let me know in the comments if there are any other fashion trends I missed out in this post which you saw as an obvious game to put here. Stay fashionable. ;)
